Introducing our new website!

It's certainly been a while since our last post, but boy do we have news for you! We recently gave our website a fresh new look, and we hope you like it:

We also created a brand new website in Hebrew, which you can check out here.

When making these changes, our goal was to create a user-friendly website that will concentrate in one place all of the information you might need when planning to move and ship household goods to Israel. We created a specific page for people making aliyah, and for returning citizens (toshav hozer). You can find out about the rights you're entitled to, such as tax-free import, assistance with learning Hebrew ("Ulpan"), finding a job, and so on.

We also gathered the most popular job search sites and listed them in one convenient place. At Dolphin Express we realize that shipping your belongings is a crucial part of the moving to a different country, but recognize that assistance and direction with job search, school search for your children, and referring you to the correct governmental organizations, is equally important.

If you're looking to buy a car in Israel, you might want to consider buying in the U.S. and shipping it over. The retail prices in the U.S. are considerably lower than in Israel, and you may be entitled to reduced taxes on shipping your car. More information and pricing can be found on our Auto Transport page.

Let's Talk Shipping: Question of the day - "When should we send our shipment out ?"

As we promised before...from time to time we will post people's most asked questions and some other issues we find relevant for our clients.

Question: When should we send our shipment out ?

Answer: To answer this question you basically need to ask yourself the following question: Do you prefer to be without your personal belongings longer in the USA prior to flying to Israel or in Israel upon arriving there.

A complete Door to Door shipment usually will take between 4 - 5 weeks or as we say about a month (time frame from NY to Israel).

If you can be in the USA without your goods and still manage, then we will advise to send your shipment to Israel about 3 - 4 weeks prior to your departure. Once you arrive to Israel, within several days your shipment should be clearing customs and then can be delivered to your new place.

If you must have your goods with you until the "last minute", then we will send it out once you fly to Israel but you will be receiving it only about a month after your arrival.

So as everything else basically...you call the shots... 8-)

NEXT: Storage...Do you need some...?

Let's Talk Shipping: Question of the day - "Who is packing our stuff ?"

From time to time we will post people's most asked questions and some other issues we find relevant for our clients.

Question: Who is packing our stuff ?

Answer: At most cases, we will be packing all the breakables, such as china, glassware and other breakables as paintings, vases, etc. In addition, we will pad and wrap all furniture.
Clients will usually prefer to do their own preliminary sorting and packing of the non breakables such as books, clothes, linen, toys, etc.
Once we arrive to pack and pickup, we will assist with anything that need packing, breakable or not...So don't worry, by the time we leave your home, all will be packed and in Great Hands 8-)
